Introduction
Last updated 28 June 2026.
These terms govern participation in all TaxLab events, including webinars, live sessions, recorded presentations, demos, workshops, and any presentations or materials shared by TaxLab in connection with an event (each an Event). Events may feature external speakers who are not employees or representatives of TaxLab. By registering for, accepting an invitation to, participating in, viewing, or receiving any materials in connection with an Event you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms. If you have an existing agreement with TaxLab, that agreement prevails over these terms to the extent of any inconsistency. Our standard agreements are published in our Legal Centre at https://taxlab.online/nz/legal-centre/.
1. No representations or warranties
Nothing in a TaxLab Event or any related presentation or materials constitutes a representation, warranty, or commitment by TaxLab. You should not rely on anything presented or shared without seeking independent verification or professional advice.
1.1. No professional advice
Nothing presented or shared in connection with a TaxLab Event constitutes legal, tax, accounting, financial, or other professional advice.
1.2. No commitments about our Subscription Services
Any information presented or shared about TaxLab’s Subscription Services, including guidance on how they work, their features, roadmap, or capabilities, is general in nature and may not apply to your specific circumstances, configuration, or requirements.
1.3. No warranty as to accuracy
TaxLab makes no warranty as to the completeness, accuracy, currency, or fitness for any particular purpose of any information presented or shared in connection with an Event, whether by TaxLab presenters or external speakers. Information presented may become outdated following the date of the Event.
1.4. Personal opinions
Any opinions expressed by TaxLab presenters or external speakers are their own and do not represent the views of, and are not binding on, TaxLab. TaxLab does not endorse and accepts no responsibility for statements made by external speakers or third party content included in any Event presentation or materials.
1.5. Authority
Only directors and authorised signatories of TaxLab Limited or TaxLab Australia Pty Limited have authority to bind TaxLab to any obligation. Nothing in a TaxLab Event or any related materials creates or implies that authority on the part of the presenter. If you are unsure whether a person has authority to bind TaxLab, please contact legal@taxlab.online before acting on any commitment.
1.6. Information security
TaxLab’s information security practices are independently certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
Information security is complex and any information we present reflects our best understanding of your questions and our information security posture at the date of the Event or materials. It may not be complete or accurate in all respects.
Nothing presented or shared confirms that our controls meet your organisation’s specific regulatory, contractual, or policy requirements now or in the future because our Information Security Management System evolves continuously — you are responsible for your own assessments.
Information about TaxLab’s information security posture is shared in confidence and is subject to the Confidentiality section below.
2. Cancellation and changes
TaxLab reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify any Event at any time and will use reasonable endeavours to notify registered participants and invited attendees of any material changes in advance.
3. Our liability to you
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxLab excludes all liability to any person for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise — arising from participation in an Event or reliance on any information presented, regardless of whether that person is an existing customer, prospective customer, contractor, or any other third party.
TaxLab accepts no liability for any statements, advice, or representations made by external speakers in any TaxLab Event or related materials.
Event presentations may contain links to third-party websites. TaxLab does not control those sites and their inclusion does not constitute an endorsement of their content.
TaxLab does not accept liability for loss arising from informal pre-Event communications.
4. Confidentiality
All TaxLab Event presentations and accompanying materials are confidential unless explicitly stated otherwise. You must not copy, share, or disclose confidential materials or their contents to any third party without TaxLab’s prior written consent. If you have received confidential materials in error, please notify us immediately at legal@taxlab.online and destroy all copies.
5. Intellectual property
© TaxLab Limited. All rights reserved. All intellectual property rights in Event presentations and accompanying materials vest in TaxLab Limited unless they originate from a third party, in which case those rights remain with their respective owners. All trade marks referenced in Event presentations are the property of their respective owners.
6. Participation and recording
By participating in a TaxLab Event you consent to being recorded. If you do not wish to be recorded, please keep your camera and microphone off and notify the host before the session begins. Details of how TaxLab may use and share recordings are set out in the Privacy section below.
You must not record, screenshot, or redistribute any TaxLab Event or presentation without TaxLab’s prior written consent.
7. Privacy
By registering for or accepting an invitation to a TaxLab Event, you consent to TaxLab collecting and using your personal data — including your name, email address, and phone number — for the purposes of organising, managing, and following up on the Event and marketing TaxLab’s Subscription Services to you.
Where an Event has named sponsors, affiliates, external speakers, or other third parties, those parties will be identified on the registration page or in the invitation. By registering for or accepting an invitation to an Event, you consent to TaxLab sharing your personal data with named sponsors and affiliates for the purpose of marketing their products and services to you, and with named external speakers and other third parties for the purpose of coordinating and following up on the Event. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting privacyofficer@taxlab.online.
TaxLab may record Events for internal use, training, marketing, or distribution to participants and prospective customers after the Event. TaxLab may also share recordings with named sponsors, affiliates, and other third parties identified on the registration page or in the invitation.
For full details of how TaxLab collects, uses, stores, discloses and disposes of personal data, your rights in relation to that data, and how to exercise them, see our Privacy Policy at https://taxlab.online/nz/legal-centre/privacy-policy/.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand where the hosting TaxLab entity is TaxLab Limited, and by the laws of Australia (Victoria) where the hosting TaxLab entity is TaxLab Australia Pty Limited. The hosting entity will be identified on the registration page or in the invitation. Where no hosting entity is identified, these terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
9. Updates
TaxLab may update these terms at any time by publishing a revised version on this page. The version applicable to any Event is the version current at the date of registration or acceptance of invitation, not the date on which the Event takes place or these terms are subsequently read. Previous versions of these terms are available at our Legal Centre Archive at https://taxlab.online/nz/legal-centre/legal-centre-archive/.
